In the years since I’ve become popular on the web, I have turned away hundreds of requests from those asking me to give them a training regimen to follow.

I have maintained, even to this day, that my mission is not to tell you what to do, but to inspire you, through my words & actions, to get up and make your own way. I’ve even made videos about it.

And now I realize that I can still help people while empowering them. We all, at times, look towards other people, places and things for some guidance on bettering ourselves (I, for example, watch Michael Jordan on YouTube, and I’ll steal a good move from any player, no matter their level).

So here we are now, with this workout series I’ve created. My goal is to keep it as simple as possible, and detailed enough that you can “see” the things I describe through my words (and I’m sure you’ll let me know if you can’t!).

Workouts are all posted in the links above and the latest post will be featured on the home page.

These techniques are straight from the source — every exercise within is something I’ve done and used in my own training so there is no question as to if it “works.” And each of our bodies is different and respond in unique ways, which is why there is enough variety to stimulate any of you with the right mix of drills. What the right mix is over time will change, and you will decide what changes and when. Your choices are numerous.

Hey dre i’m from Brazil man…and i watch you videos every day ’cause I’ll be a basketball player…i’ll be in NBA man …and it’s good you memorize that name … … daniel rodrigues, thank you for all you’re doing, and keep it up

  2. Hey Dre,
I honestly can’t believe you didn’t play high school hoops until senior year. You’ve truly unlocked your full potential on the court. Man, I’m a ball-player in Africa and I’m striving to get a hoop scholarship to a school in the Ivy Conference. The problem is most collegiate teams bring in Africans for size, rebounding and shot-blocking like Dikembe Mutombo, Hasheem Thabeet etc. I’m a guard at 6’2″ and I’m scared that I won’t be able to match up to American guards who have more refined skills, better coaching and facilities. I’m in junior year. So gimme an outline for the skills I have to possess to play at the Division I level and other stuff like shots per day and hours spent on handles. Thank you, may you continue to grow as a ball-player and as a student of the game. Thank you.

      Hey and thanks.
      1. If you’re scared, forget about making it as a basketball player.
      2. Excuses about why you won’t make it won’t make you better so don’t waste time on them.
      3. If you want drills and workouts, I have 2k+ videos, which you know. http://www.HoopHandbook.com has workout plans for every aspect of the game, straight from my own sessions.
      Good luck

    hey Dre, love your videos.
I’m just here to ask what you think I should do:
I live in Minnesota and for 6 months out of the years there is snow on the ground. In fact there’s still snow and its April. And 4 other months its raining. I was thinking of purchasing either a basketball hoop for my driveway or a gym membership. At minimum a quality hoop is $350. And the gym membership is $15 a month. I don’t have my license yet so getting there in a regular basis can be a problem. Just asking for your help. What would you do in this circumstance?
    Thanks,
    Andrew

    • DreAllDay says:

      Wassup Andrew,
i don’t know your money situation, how far the gym is, what your driveway is like, the weather and how much cold you can handle, etc… I’m not you. And I’m not in your circumstance. Pick what works best for you and live with the decision. You are making the decision, so make it.
