#185: Leadership: Who Are You Attracting And Why? [WOYG Podcast]

Scroll this

When you lead any group, some outside people may be drawn to what you’re doing. If you want a read on what kind of leader you are, it’s easy to see. Take a look at the people who come around and stay around.

The people you attract are attracted for a reason. They seem themselves in what you’re doing, somehow and some way. If you like what you’re drawing to you, keep doing what you’re doing! If not, time to make changes.

  1. Reminds me of the education system over here, UK, they wanted to attract more people to get degrees so they dumbed it down and made it easier to get one with courses in things like David Beckham, yep, a real course. Easier requirements so a lot more people have them.

I understand the thinking behind that, with the education system, it was so those from poor backgrounds had the same opportunity but they should’ve done it without dumbing it down. Those that put in the effort, I wasn’t one of those, would then rise to the surface.

It was also other factors like business, but that’s the example that came to mind when you talked about Lowering the bar.

    Always worth listening to Dre.

    • Thanks for the consistent feedback Colin, glad this sparked some thoughts in you.
