I’m often asked about building a following. How does someone build one today? How did I build mine? What would I do if I were to begin anew today?

Here’s the answers: You don’t. I didn’t. The same thing I did before.

You don’t go out seeking people to join you. That part comes, but first you must get clear on who and what you are and where you’re going. Without that, no one can follow you or know that you’re for them.

There’s more. Listen to today show and learn about followings: they will always exist, you just need the right mindset about how they’re formed.

  1. Great follow on for episode number 236. What I got from this is lead by doing and your audience will find you. Create what you need. If you create something that would’ve been helpful to you when you were starting out, or something you need now you can be sure others will need it.

Focus on doing your work and creating your story. Interesting episode Dre, sometimes we have it backwards and go for the money first, I’m guilty of doing this at times, when we should be focusing on creating the value. Get your audience hooked so they have to come to you.

    • True Colin. The money comes form people, who only buy in when they like what they see/hear/read first.
