The higher your aims, the fewer people who will believe reaching them is possible. More directly, the fewer people who will believe YOU reaching them is possible.

These may be people you know. People you work with or for. People who’ve raised you and played in the sandbox with you. People you share a bed (and other things) with at night.

What then? What do you do people are actively (trying to) discouraging you? Most of the time they mean well,  but it damn sure isn’t helping you. What do you do about this?

I’ll tell you in today’s episode.

  1. I’m sure at some point I’ve been a discourager, moment of weakness, but on the whole I don’t know what someone is capable of so it’s usually a go for it and find out type of response.

As far as Discouragers go I’ve taken your advice and I minimise my time with people like that, if I do have to be around negative people I don’t tell them my plans. I try to just focus on my life and what I’m doing. Doesn’t always work but on the whole it’s going good there.

Still haven’t beat the 48 hour challenge of thinking of only what you want. I’m improving and moving forward though.

    It’s always appreciated Dre.

    • Great self-awareness Colin. Start that challenge with one hour at a time.
