- Identify a need that other people have that you can solve. This could be a need that people do not even know they have until you introduce it to them. Bottled water, for example: We drank tap water until someone told us that it was bad for us. Now some people swear by bottled and won’t drink anything else.
- Solve the need with a product or service. You only know that your product solves a need when people are willing to pay (money, attention) for it. Not say they will pay, but actually pay.
- Let everyone know what you have. No customers = no business. A great product that no one knows of won’t sell, thus no business.
