I was a mediocre baseball player. I struck out a lot, had ground balls go through my legs, and didn’t have the most accurate arm. I had to finally realize there wasn’t much future in being a mediocre amateur baseball player. I moved on to basketball and made much bigger waves.
None of us is great at everything. We know this. The challenge I’m covering today is that too many of us spend an inordinate amount of time on things we are merely mediocre at, and not enough time on what we’re great at.
Today I will drill into your head how mediocrity will produce very little for you in life. Though will will be mediocre at things – many things – that doesn’t mean your life should be based around those things. Actually, you will aim to eliminate as many of them as possible.
