“Get your hands off your knees!! Stand up straight!! NEVER let the workout know it’s kicking your ass!!”
I heard a pro trainer say this to a current NBA player during an offseason workout session. The idea was to build the player’s mental toughness, to have him not show weakness in any situation. What the player practiced in the offseason would translate to the regular season. Not showing any weakness, even when you’re feeling weak, works not only on the person himself, but also on the opponent: no matter how great of a shot you hit me with, I’m still standing!
The Mindset applies to all of life.
