I understand fandom. I’m a fan of several people.
There are people who, even if they’re no longer as popular as they once were, I’ll still buy their stuff and follow their careers.
But I never understood the crying thing.
You know, when people meet or are physically close to the person they’re a fanatic of, and the emotion overflows out of them? I’ve never had a fan cry in front of me; maybe that would help me understand.
But I’ve read a lot of books about human psychology, and figured it out. I’ll explain today.
Most people’s lives are boring. Your job, as of today, is to be their guiding light, the thing they can be excited about.
