Often, basketball players come to me asking about the aesthetics of their games.
Players talk about how, when watching themselves on video, they don’t look as smooth as they’d want to be. Or how some observer told them they look funny or awkward or some other not-good way that moves the player to want to smoothen their games.
Through this point is very surface and has nothing to do with their actual effectiveness in the game, I have to give the people what they want. Because I know there are many others who would very much like their work to appear effortless — it’s one of the 48 Laws Of Power, after all — in other areas that aren’t sports.
Today’s show is about that.
