I read a coach explain how he meets with potential clients. He only works with them if their desire to be coach by him is a 10. A 10 would be a Hell Yeah! decision. And a 1 would be a Hell No! decision.
Anything in between is just Hell. Derek Sivers explained a similar idea in his blog.
That’s a great analogy because we can apply it to anything. And it allows for easier decision making in life.
Hell Yeah! and Hell No! decisions are obvious to us, no grey areas. We don’t even have to think about them. Those grey area choices, where we kinda want to, or not really… really are just Hell. It’s not exciting, we’re not fully engaged, and honestly would rather be elsewhere.
Right? Then get the Hell out of here.
