“…Every plan of campaign ought to have several branches and to have been so well thought out that one or other of the said branches cannot fail of success.”

I came across Strategy from the bibliography  of  Robert Greene’s 33 Strategies, as Greene quotes Liddell Hart multiple times in his book.

Strategy is a book that discusses, in detail, many ancient war situations and describes how strategy was used or misused by either side of each conflict. I’m no history buff but the lessons from each study made the read worth it.

There are also sections of pure discussion, where Liddell Hart breaks down different principles of strategy as they pertain to war (this book is all about war) but, like The Art of War, the war aphorisms can be easily translated to contemporary life in an office or domestic conflicts.
