#545: How To Deal With Being Cut, Dumped, Fired, Not-Hired, Passed-Over, or Otherwise Turned Down In Life [WOYG Podcast]

October 1, 2017 #545: How To Deal With Being Cut, Dumped, Fired, Not-Hired, Passed-Over, or Otherwise Turned Down In Life [WOYG Podcast]

I got cut from 9 of the first 10 basketball teams I tried out for (or something close to that ratio).

I got fired from a few jobs (the movie theatre and Friendly’s, to name two).

Many job interviews didn’t get moved to the next step in the hiring process.

I’ve never been dumped, but I have gone on dates and not received a call back.

I was pretty good at talking to girls, but not every approach ended with an information exchange.

All part of the game. And they’re all Games. Maybe looking at things like a game will help you to be less emotionally attached to stuff that’s happening. Remember that the momentum can swing at any time in a game. Nothing is fixed.

Today’s show is about dealing with the inevitable moments in games when your opponent makes a shot. Even the bummy players get lucky every now and then.
