“Worth” has a relative meaning — $5 for a bottle of water might be worth it if I’m in Cowboys Stadium and there is nowhere else to get it, while I wouldn’t spend $1 on water if you knocked on my door selling it. To decide if some action is worth it, first you have to make clear what “it” (the first one) is.
- What do you want to be the result of this action? More bookings, making the team, getting a date, selling your product…
- What are you willing to give for making this outcome happen? Would you be willing to do the second “it” in order to get the first “it”? This will give you a clear answer.
So, is it worth it?
