I’m a fast driver. I go over the speed limit and weave in and out of traffic on the highway. People sometimes tell me they’re somewhat uncomfortable riding in the passenger seat when I’m behind the wheel. After riding with me enough, those people usually stop telling me that.
But one thing never changes: my passengers are always paying attention to the road.
Have you ever ridden with someone who drove just a little bit too fast for your liking? You found yourself unconsciously moving your foot to the brake pedal — even though you’re not driving? I laugh a bit on the inside when I see my passengers doing it.
If you want to wake your brain up and initiate some change into your life, try speeding things up. Move faster than you’re used to. Take on more than you think you can handle. It is guaranteed to produce the result you want? Nope.
But I guarantee you’ll be wide awake, paying attention.
