It takes the same amount of energy to expect your success. Expecting good things to happen doesn’t guarantee them, but it puts your subconscious in position to consider how to make it happen. Compare that mind state to a hopeful one, which has to balance the “might-happen” with the “might-not-be-completely powerless” circumstances.
