[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Someone I follow on Twitter amplified a tweet by some liberal tweeter accusing a woman named Zina Bash of making a “white power” gesture while seated at a congressional hearing.
Looking at Zina, it looked like she was making the “OK” sign with her hand. Her defenders said she was just resting her hand during a lengthy hearing. It is news to me that this represents white power.
This would be funny if people weren’t dead serious about it.
For Your Game
- I’m Black. I’m not in support of White Supremacy in any form. I’ll also say this “story” is a reach to me. It’s taking a seemingly random thing and putting a spotlight on that, instead of something more serious, such as the hearing that was taking place. It’s like the story of the boy who cried wolf: If every action, word and gesture is a “sign” that they are wrong, then soon nothing will be newsworthy. If that was, in truth, a white power signal, what needs to be done? Pointing it out achieves nothing.
