You need to Work On Your Game, of course. Be good at what you do, make smart decisions, and get to where you want to go.

This way, everyone is protected by the strength of the group, and no one is a strong general followed by a weak army – which is a recipe for disaster.
This way, if something happens to anyone in the group, everyone else can pick up the slack for him.
This way, everyone has power, because everyone is in the group because he wants to be, not because he has to be. Everyone could stand on their own, but chooses to stand together.
