I used to take 45-60 minutes to leave the house after waking up on days I’d train for my marathon.

Then one day I woke up late. This would’ve thrown off my entire day’s schedule. For a moment I considered scrapping the run for that day and making it up the next day. Then I got a better idea: what if I just moves with more a sense of urgency and got ready in half the time?

I did it, and had a new standard.
