Operate Out Of Imagination Instead Of Memory: The Future Can Be Whatever You Make It - Dre BaldwinEven though time traveling isn’t the goal, we all do it. Ideally, we could stay in the present moment at all times and completely focus on what is here and now. But if we must think of time as other the present, instead of going back to your best memories — thinking of the past — try thinking of the future: Your imagination and the picture of where you see yourself going, being, doing, having.

Your memories are getting older and older by the second. Living in the past makes a person old, no matter your age in numbers. Thinking of the future as forward-moving, and as always full of possibilities (at least, as much as you allow it to be), keeps you and your mind refreshed and active.

The present is all you ever actually have, but if you must travel in time to somewhere, think of what’s to come instead of what already has been.
