Not a physical, two-hands-to-the-chest push. What I mean is that mental push. A push, followed by another push if necessary, to see just how far someone can be pushed before they snap or quit or cry or shut down. Everyone has this point within their psychological walls — keep probing for it and it’ll fall into your lap.
It’s good to know where this point is, especially in the people close to you. It gives you a much clearer idea of what you can expect from or ask of them when you know the limits of their mental, psychological, and emotional stamina.
