If you feel you’re not getting enough…
Return on investment
Rewards for what you do…
Then follow this formula.
- Shut the fuck up. Complaining does not produce results. It’s disempowering and signals to your brain that you’re done trying to create solutions. Telling the world your problems won’t help either. Stop.
- Work harder. More effort is a likely benefit to you. We all have another level of performance we can hit; it’s just a matter of getting there. If you produce more, you’ll get more in return. That’s the law of karma in full action.
- Get better. Improve your performance. If your products were better, you’d have more buyers. If your game was better, you would’ve made the team. If you were better at selling, you would close that customer. Your lack of ability is more of an issue than what the other guy did or didn’t do to or for you.
Here’s a secret tip or disclaimer, depending on how you choose to look at it: These rules are ongoing. There is never a point to begin talking more than you act. Never a time to not work hard. Never a point where you’re good enough and don’t need to improve.
That may excite you or deflate you. Just know it’s the truth.
