95% of your audience will never make themselves known (at least verbally). We call this group the Silent Majority.
Even if you receive a lot of email, snaps and comments, that’s the Vocal Minority, comprising less than 5% of who’s out there.
- Don’t tailor everything you do to the whims of the Vocal Minority. They are only speaking for themselves, and not the group as a whole.
- Value objective measurements, like sales and page views, more than comments. Commentators become commentators usually when emotionally moved. I can like your stuff without being emotional, thus never commenting.
