Take information, advice and feedback from everyone, anywhere you can get it. When it’s time to decide and act, ditch the committee — you’re on your own.

The only one who lives with the result is you.

And I’ve never seen a statue dedicated to a committee of advisers. Statues are dedicated to the person who took all the input and feedback and decided for him or herself. In the long run, that’s pretty much all posterity ever remembers anyway.
