They pay you just enough for you to get by, and your production is the same: just above the “acceptable” line.
No one can say that you don’t do your job — but, nothing about your work is memorable, either. You’ll be replaced as soon as possible.

You not only deliver, you OVERdeliver.
You’re better than advertised. People are delighted by your results.
They tell their friends. You often don’t even have to ask for reviews or testimonials — people come to you with those things because they’re so happy about the resulting outcomes of working with you.
People look for you when they need more than “just ok” work — knowing that it’ll cost them more to get you, they’re more than happy to pay it.
